Security
Our security measures are designed to preserve your online and offline security. However, you also need to take certain precautions to protect the security of your account. Here are some tips to help you maintain your security:
Use a different password than your email
Check your transaction history
Regularly check your transaction history. If you suspect that someone has used your account for a transaction, immediately change your password and contact us.
Keep it secret
Never share your account information with anyone. No one should know your account ID, security ID, or password.
Use strong and unique passwords
Create a complex and unique password, different from other passwords you use (especially your email). A strong password should be at least 8 characters long, include uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and at least one special character (e.g., ~ ! @ # $ %), and should not include your name.
Update your browser
If you are not using the latest version of your browser, critical security patches and updates may not be installed on your computer. You can get the latest version of your browser on the developer's homepage.
Protect your computer
No matter how vigilant you are when online, if your equipment is not properly protected, it can be vulnerable. Ensure your computer is equipped with protective measures such as antivirus software and a firewall to prevent intrusion into your network or computer. And never open executable files from unknown sources.
Log out of your account
When you finish using your SOBFLOUS account, do not close your browser window without logging out first. By doing so, you will clear your browser cache and prevent anyone from logging in on your behalf.
Avoid public computers
Never log into SOBFLOUS from a public computer or one that doesn't belong to you, as you cannot know its level of security. Public computers are those you have access to in hotels, libraries, airports, and cafes.
Beware of Phishing
Protect yourself from email scams
Like many reputable online companies and financial institutions, SOBFLOUS may be targeted by scammers who try to trick our customers into providing their confidential personal information for fraudulent purposes.
How it works
Although there are several variants of phishing, all rely on the same principles. You receive an email from a well-known brand or website that appears official, down to the logos, colors, and type of email you usually receive from that company. Upon opening the email, you are asked to click on a link to log into your account. Some emails even claim that your account has been suspended or will be if you don't respond, that you will receive a refund, or that you can get money for free by clicking the link. Instead of logging into the genuine website, these links direct you to a page nearly identical to the company's site. Once on this page, you are asked to enter your personal information, including account information. If you provide them, scammers can then attempt to use them to access your account or even steal your identity.
